The project parameters are grouped under a tab called Settings available when creating a new project.

You can also access the Settings tab once the project is created. From the project, click on the parameter icon.

You will then find the following parameters:

(1) Automatically assign new members to this project: when the switch is on, all new members that are added to the company are automatically assigned to the project.

(2) Billable project: Enable this option to indicate that the project is billable to the client. When you set a project as billable, a list of what are called ‘invoice methods’ is displayed, which allows you to choose how you plan to bill the project to the client. For more information on this subject, refer to the article How to set an invoice method for a project.

(3) Invoice only approved entries: Enable this option to bill only the entries (i.e. time entries and expenses) that have been approved from the Time Tracking module. Disable this option to bill all the entries.

(4) Consider only approved entries for budget calculation: Enable this option to calculate the budget by taking into account only the entries (i.e. time entries and expenses) that have been approved from the Time Tracking module. Disable this option to calculate the budget by taking into account all the entries.

(5) Make the hour-based budget restrictive: A restrictive budget is a budget that cannot be exceeded. Therefore, when entering time entries, the system blocks you from entering additional hours worked that exceed the total hours that were budgeted for the project.

(6) Block regular members from unmarking tasks as Done: By selecting this option, regular members will not be able to move tasks and subtasks out of the Done status

(7) Block regular members from modifying estimated times: Enable to ensure that only users with project management permissions can change a task's estimated time.

(8) Block regular members from modifying due dates: Enable to ensure that only users with project management permission can modify task and subtask due dates.

Click on Save when you are done setting up your project parameters.
